Being unable to wait 2 days I just installed the RC version. I haven't used Ubuntu for a couple of years and this is quite impressive. I've resisted installing because I think I've been being a bit elitist and trying to get some slackware distros running on my travelmate. After many hours of frustration, Heron just installed and works flawlessly.
