It is now three o’clock in the afternoon and Claire (Darcy sister) walks into her aunt and uncle house and sees that Darcy History textbook and notebook are still laid out on the computer desk. Claire also notices that her sister shoes are still setting in the spot that she set them last night. Claire drops her book bag onto the couch then walks into the hallway and to the guests’ bedroom that Darcy and she are sharing. Claire opens the bedroom door and sees her older sister laying on the first bed. She also notices that Darcy is wearing a different pair of pajamas then she put on last night.

Claire: Darcy I know you have been excused from this afternoon gymnastics practice, because of our parent’s anniversary party. But you did have a gymnastic practice this morning and did you stay home from school today ?
Darcy: Yeah I stay home from school and yes I had gymnastics practices this morning and I did not go!
Claire: Are you sick?
Darcy: I over sleep and when I wake up this morning I was really nausea.
Claire: Are you feeling better after stay home and resting?
Darcy: No, I feel worst then I did when I wake up. I think that I might be coming down with the stomach flu.
Claire: I hope you make it through mom and dad party tonight without getting sick.
Darcy: Me too, sis.
Claire: I am going to go take a shower, you might want to get up and start getting ready for the party to Darcy!
Darcy: Yeah, I will get up in a few minutes.

Claire walks over to the closet and grabs the dress that she is wearing to the party. She then grabs a clean pair of underwear and her hair towel and a body towel. She then walks out of the bedroom closes the door behind her. Darcy gets out of bed when she hears the shower running. She walks over to the closet and gets the purple sun dress out that she is wearing to the party out. She pulls her Pajamas bottoms off and she sees bruises from the top of her leg down to her knees. When she takes off her pajama top, she sees more bruises. She puts the dress on really fast and is glad that the dress goes past her knees, but when she looks in the mirror she can see the bruise on her upper arms and her shoulders. She walks back over to the closet and grabs a purple cardigan that has 3/4 sleeve. She puts it on then buttons the bottom four buttons up, so that the cardigan does not slide down her shoulders. Darcy has finish getting dress and has just start to comb her hair when Claire walks back into the room wear her pink sun dress.

Claire: I am done in the bathroom Darcy, you can go and use it now.
Darcy: Thanks

Darcy grabs her toothbrush, toothpaste and brush then walks out of the bedroom. She then walks into the bathroom and closes the door. At the sometime she closes the bathroom door, she hears her aunt and uncle come into the house. She has just put the toothbrush into her mouth when her aunt Jen knocks on the bathroom door.

Jen: Darcy your school principle Mrs. Hatzilakos called my cellphone as I was drive home from work. She called my cellphone, because Mrs. Hatzilakos knows you are staying with me till your parents get back and she says you did not come to school today. I cover for you and say I forget to call you into school sick this morning.
Darcy: (Take the toothbrush out of her mouth.) Thanks
Jen: But I do want to talk to you about it. Can I come into the bathroom?
Darcy: Sure

Jen open up the bathroom door and walks into the bathroom closes the door behind her. Jen takes a set on the edge of the bathtub and looks at her niece. Darcy puts the toilet seat lid down, then she takes a set and looks at her aunt Jen.

Jen: So why did you not go to school or to gymnastics practice this morning?
Darcy: I over sleep and when I walk up I was really nausea, so I stay home to rest and I also work on mine English homework.
Jen: Are you feeling any better after rested Dac (short for Darcy)?
Darcy: No, not really I think that I am coming down with the stomach flu Jen.
Jen: (Feeling Darcy’s forehead) You don’t feel warm, but I am going to have you help your uncle Tim set up the chair around the table and I will have you sister help me with the food.
Darcy: Thanks
Jen: I do want you to try and eat some dinner at the party though!
Darcy: I need to go gather my clothing up put them into my suitcase and gather my school books and notebook up Spinner going to be here any minute to fellow you, Tim and Claire to the church we are going to.
Jen: Ok, I need to get ready for the party now.

Darcy walks out of the bathroom carrying her comb, toothbrush and toothpaste and heads into the guests’ bedroom. Across town Alex has started to cough really hard. She is coughing so hard it making her feel like she is going to be sick to her stomach at any moment. She stands up from the couch and runs into the bathroom and just gets over to the toilet when she starts bring up the oatmeal and apple juice she had an hour ago. When she has stop throwing up ten minutes later, she leans up against the bathtub and is trying to catch her breath. She had just put the thermometer into her mouth when someone starts bang on the apartment door. Alex Stands up holding her stomach and flush the toilet. She then goes over to the sink and washes her hands. When she turns the water off the thermometer start beeping, she takes it out of her mouth and sees she still has a fever of 40 C (104.9 F). Alex put the thermometer away and then leaves the bathroom. She heads over to the apartment door and open it up to sees Paige standing in front of her.

Alex: Paige you are supposed to be at Banting and don’t you have your Business math class right now?
Paige: Class was cancelled, So I though I will stop by and see how you are doing, I swing by degrassi first, because I know you had gymnastic practice. But when I get there Mrs. Hatzilakos say you were at home sick, so I drive over here to see you. Can I come in Lexi?
Alex: I’m Ah-Choo congestion Ah-Choo, maybe you should just leave Paige!

Paige push her way into the apartment and closes the door behind her. Alex walks back over to the couch and lays down and Paige takes a set on the edge of the couch and feels Alex’s forehead with her right hand.

Paige: You feel really warm Lexi, have you taken you temperature recently?
Alex: Ahem, yeah right before answers the door Ah-Choo it was 40 C (104.9 F)!
Paige: Do you want anything to eat or drink Lexi?
Alex: No, I am not hungering, but can you tell me the time Paige?
Paige: It is 3:40p.m. Lexi!

Alex jumps up from the couch and walks into the bathroom. She gets her toothbrush out and put toothpaste onto the brush. She is brush her tooth when Paige walks up to the bathroom door and looks at her. Paige does not say anything at first then she sees Alex take her hair out of the mess ponytail and start combing her hair.

Paige: Lexi, what do you think you are doing?
Alex: Ah-Choo I redoing my hair. Then I need you to Ah-choo, drive me to the dot for Jay’s little Sister Jessica fourth coughed, Birthday tea party!
Paige: You need to stay home in bed Lexi, you are sick!
Alex: I have to Paige, My daughter Star is her cousin, Ah-Choo and we were both invited to the party, Jay is taking her to the dot. But Mrs. Hogart, Jay and Jessica are like a family to me and have been there for me since I found out that I was, Ah-choo pregnant with Star.
Paige: Star is your little sister Lexi, I think the fever cause you to Imagination things!
Alex: No, I should have told you when we where dating, I had a daughter on September 1, 2003 Paige.
Paige: If Star was your daughters’ her last name would be Nunez not Hogart.
Alex: Jay is the father you thought Chat last name was Hogart?
Paige: Yeah
Alex: Ah-choo, Chad’s last name is Willy. Star full name is Star Rose Nunez Hogart.
Paige: You mean the reason you had to set out of gymnastics practice and the gymnastics meets were because you were pregnant?
Alex: Coughs, Yeah
Paige: Ok, lets go get this over with then, But you have to induction me to Star since I have only seen her once when she was asleep.
Alex: Ah-choo, ok.

Alex walks out of the bathroom and into her bedroom. She grabs her coat off the desk chair and puts it on. She then puts her black tennis shoes on her feet. Then Alex fellow Paige outside to her car. Paige unlocks her car doors then gets into the driver seat and Alex gets into the Passenger seat after she had hooked up Star’s boost seat up in the bag seat of Paige lavender VW beetle. Paige puts her car into drive and start diver towards the dot. Meanwhile, at Degrassi the four members of the gymnastic team that showed up to practice are in the locker room change, because Mrs. Hatzilakos end practices early, seeing that Heather, Alex and Darcy were all out sick. In the locker room Emma is playing with Isabella as Manny, Mia, Kendra is getting change back into the clothing they wear to school.

Kendra: So what are the three of you going to due with the extra time we have because of getting out of practice early?
Mia: I am going to take Isabella to her friends Jessica birthday party at the dot.
Emma: Isabella not feeling good, maybe you should just take her home Mia!
Mia: We are only going to stay long enough for Isabella to give Jessica her gift.
Isabella: Stay whole time Momie!
Mia: I let you play for a while, but if your fever goes up or you started to get sicker, I am taking you home and put you to bed Bella!
Isabella: Ok Momie.
Kendra: Emma and Manny what are the two of you going to do with your free time?
Manny: Go over to Dylan, Macro and Ellie and See Craig who is in town and is staying there.
Kendra: Sounds like fun!
Emma: Go home and get off my left leg and watch a movie with Sean.
Kendra: Cool, I have to go home and wash my clothing.

By now they are all change, so they head out of the locker room. Manny walks out of the school and head towards Macro, Dylan and Ellie house. Emma hopes over to Sean’s car on her crutch and he open the car door up for her. Emma gets into the car and Sean put the crutch onto the backseat then close the passengers’ door and the back seat door. He then walks around to the drive side and gets into the car and drive to Emma parents’ house. Kendra takes of in a run towards her parent’s house as Mia is Pushes Isabella in her Stroller to the Dot which is on the corner across from the school. Since there not a lot of parking at the dot she leaving her car parked at Degrassi. When Mia and Isabella get to the dot, Paige has just park her car and both Paige and Alex is getting out of the car. Mia, Isabella, Paige and Alex all head into the dot together. Mia undoes the harness on Isabella stroller and lift Bella out and then Isabella runs over to Jessica and the rest of her friends from daycare. Mia get the gift for Jessica out of Isabella bag and set it on the table that next to the window, where all the other gifts are. Star see her mom taking a set in a stool at the counter and runs over to her. Mrs. Hogart also sees Alex and walks over to her.

Star: (Alex pick Star up and set on her lap.) Momie is here!
Mrs. Hogart: Nice to see you Lexi, but Jessica would understand that you had stay home in bed, since you are sick.
Alex: Ah-Choo, I promised Jessica I would be at her birthday party and having a stuffed up nose and a sore throat, Ah-Choo, is not going to stop me.
Star: Momie who is the blonde sitting next to you?
Alex: Star this is mom friend Paige for school.
Star: Nice to meet you Paige.
Paige: You are so cute sweetie
star: Thanks

With that Star slides off her mom lap and goes back over to play with Isabella, Jessica, Jack and her other friends from daycare.
