The performance difference I'm taking about is between running the game on Windows or ubuntu.

If it runs fine then great I will be able to finally drop Windows all together and put ubuntu on my gaming rig. I will have to do lots of fiddling with stuff. I have yet to figure out how to have sound in a game as well as talking on TeamSpeak. The sound settings for running two independent sound programs is a little tricky. Nothing an afternoon on reading the forum can sort but it's still a bugger. It will be worth it just to get rid of WinXP
