Default Dreamgirls

I just rented this movie last night, and found it very enjoyable. The cast is great - especially Jamie Foxx, who I believe is one of the best American actors today.

The music was great - the film showcased some of the history behind some great American music in a fictional way.

I don't usually like musicals, (characters singing their lines) and there wasn't a abundance of it, but where there was, it was well done.

Overall, I just think the film did a good job of providing a look at the subject matter and this portion of musical and American history. The story and plot was a bit predictable but still kept my attention. If I were a reviewer, I'd give this an easy 3 of 4 stars, or two thumbs up.
