Clinton lied? Clinton lied but not about policy related matters.
Bush did not sell the country to the Mexican govmt, he sold it to corporate interests. I think Bush was afraid that if he did not in some way grant amnesty to illegal immigrants, the issue of illegal immigration would not go away and I don't think it will go away until there is better border security.
I think he wants this issue to go away before the next election, so that another Republican won't have to deal with it.
