actually rapping is what they are doing, they don't do hip-hoping.
Rap is a style of

And Hip-Hop is a genre of music for that matter.
One guy of linking park for example is rapping but that doesn't make their music hip-hop, vice versa there are sung parts in hip-hop songs.
