Currently unemployed (but on worker's comp) and trying to finish a university English prep course so that I can go to uni in the fall for Social Work.
It's difficult doing King Lear with essays and stuff when I haven't been in school for the better part of 30 years. Do I like it? Not really but it is a means to an end.
It's tough and because it's distance education I can't talk with the teachers to get their perspective on exactly what they want. It showed in my last marks. Bah humbug!!!

4. What are some of the positives to your job? Negatives?

Positives are that I can structure my day and get things done. I can also go and see my dad (he was recently was diagnosed with what looks like terminal cancer). He lives 4 hours away so I go there for a few days then come home to see my husband and do homework. It works for now.

Bad. Strong. Selfish. But getting better about it all. Trying not to be such a control freak and let things slide off my back more.

I liked math, social studies, art (of course! We listened to Beatles records (OMG!) and drew for 2 hours a day! Loved high school 30 years ago!!) and phys. ed. Hated grammar, French, and home ec. Most of you won't even know what home ec is I guess. God I'm getting old.
