You could be right, maybe the world has been going through these cycles for thousands of years. The pyramids being built only 2-3000 years ago has been contested quite a lot, I remember a documentary by a researcher called J.J Benitez who used basic maths to calculate the size and weight of the pyramids and how long it would take to build them if you didn't have cranes and other lifting equipment, and it appears that if the dates are correct, the Egyptians would not have been able to complete the task in such a short period of time. Not unless they managed to place each block perfectly at the rate of 1 every half hour or so. (not exact by the way, I can't remember the
exact figures).
But anyway, could make an interesting new thread. (as we've gone a bit off-topic)
