I only change the volume on my car stereo in increments of 5 (e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20). If my mp3 player is plugged in, the above applies but I have come to also accept anything ending in 3 or 7 (7 and 13 are my favorite numbers) because the volume of the mp3 player is usually too loud when coming through my stereo so sometimes the increments of 5 are too much.
