Who should write thier paychecks then? The president? As a people, we write them when we elect them. But I submit we don't hold them responsible.
On another note, I'm beginning to think the problem with Congress isn't that they're paid too much, its that they're paid too little. Basically, all they get as a reward for their "service" is power. Ergo, the pool of potential candidates for congressional seats is populated mainly by people seeking power. They aren't signing up for the health care plan.
