JJ Abrams only wrote the pilot, the finales, and the premieres of each season. It's more Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse's show. So disliking it for the patters an unrelated show made seems irrational. And all those apparently "out there" things will be tied up. It's not a show like ER or Smallville that'll go till they lose money. They planned five seasons, and ABC just announced that the final two seasons will be split up into three. They're not just wingin' it. :
