Here are my comments:
- Keep the plot moving.
- Don't waste time explaining everything, let there be some sense of mystery. At the same time, make sure you know the reasons for what is happening and that your reader can figure it out.
- Make your characters interesting. Give them depth. Don't let any of them be boring, unless you plan to kill them off quickly. If your reader doesn't care about the characters or the plot, they won't read what you have to say.
