The reason that there's a biological problem with incest is that it is more likely for two people who are related to both be carrying a damaging recessive trait. However, in your other thread, you say that you do not believe in evolution. If there is no such thing as genetic mutations (which is all that evolution is, really), then how can people now be so diverse if we all have the same genetic background? Wouldn't Adam and Eve risk passing on recessive traits just as much as anyone else if our genetic material is the same?
