After the Shot Emma was not the some person as before and she starts hanging out with Jay crowd and become good friends with Alex. She Stop spends time with Manny and her other friends, during the summer she starts skip meals because the other girls that hang out with Jay made her feel fat. Her clothing style even changes. She starts wear black shirts and jeans and Jean Skirt. Emma also moves in with Jay after her mom kick out of the house when she walks in on Jay and Emma sleep together in Emma bed, when she was suppose to be watching her little bother. It the first morning of the new school year, Emma wakes up when her alarm goes off, She sit up in her and Jay bed and rubs her eyes and try to get the room to stop spin. This is the fifth day she wakes up and the room was spin. She lay back down and close her eyes. Ten minutes later Jays walks out of the bathroom and see Emma has not get out of bed yet.
Jay: Em, you need to get up, we have to go to school.
Emma: I'm up, and I forget you able to come back to Degrassi this year and start your JR Year over.
Jay: yeah and I can't be late I have a meet with Mrs. Hatzilakos before school start.
Emma: You go on a head without me Jay, I'm going be run late I need to take a shower before school and I need to run to the store to.
Jay: Ok, but eat some breakfast today Emma.
Emma: Fine I eat something.
Emma stands up and heads to the bathroom but stumbles and has to grab onto Jay to get her balance.
Jay: Em, are you ok, and are you feel alright you look pale?
Emma: yeah just trip over my own two feet is all and I feel fine just sleepy is all.

Emma: Ok

Emma goes into the bathroom and look into the mirror at herself, she holds on to the sink to keep from fall down, because she feels really light head and the room is still spin. She takes a shower hope it will make the spin stop, it does not work, she goes into the Kitchen and grabs an apple to eat on the way to the store. Once at the store she walks over to the alley with the wight lose pills are and pick up one bottle and a diet Mt dew and then goes and pays for them. On her way to school she take two of the wight lose pills, Once at school she head to her first hour class and take a seat next to Jay.
Jay: you just made it, the bells about to ring.
Manny walks into the classroom with JT and Liberty. Manny Stop walk and look at Emma, then walk up to Emma and sit down next to her because it the only open sit.
Manny: Gosh Emma, you look awful what did you do this summer hide inside all summer and not get any sun because you are as pale as a ghost.
Emma: No
Manny: yeah right, and have you stop eaten because you also look like you lost a lot of wight, and you were skinny to begin with?
Emma: Manny leave me alone, I have to been eating, and it no big deal if I lost a few pounds over the summer. I have been really busy with work every night at the movie theater at the mall and doing the daytime this summer I watch Jay twin four-year-old sister Jamie and Jessica so Jay mom could save some money and not sent them to daycare doing the summer. So I was outside everyday.
By the time first hour was over Emma was glad because Manny was driver her nuts.
Emma: Jay save me a seat in The M.I. lab and make sure it on the opposite side of the room from Manny.
Jay: ok, but where are you going Em?
Emma: the restroom.
Jay: (kiss Emma) Ok see you in class.
Emma walks into the restroom and sees Alex and Ellie stand by the sink Talk to eachother. Alex and Ellie both look at Emma.
Alex: Hi Emma, remember you have a shift tonight at the movie theater.
Emma: ( lean against the wall) Yeah I remember, my shift starts at five right.
Alex: yeah.
Ellie: Emma is anything wrong, you not look Too hot?
Emma: I just have a headache is all.
Emma pulls out a bottle of Tylenol and take two, then start walks out of the restroom, but lose her balance and fall into the wall. Alex walks up beside her and take her arm and help stand up straight.
Alex: are you sure that you are ok Emma?
Emma: I'm fine I just trip is all.
Emma runs out of the bathroom and two the M.I. lab and takes a seat next to Jay. Jay wraps his arms around her and she puts her head on his shoulder and Close her eyes and fall asleep. Jays wake her up when the bell rings.
Jay: I see you in Lunch Emma see that you have Gym and I have auto shop.
Emma: ok see you at Lunch.
At Gym class Mr. Armstrong made them run two miles outside the school. in pair of two Emma has to run with Manny. At the end of the two-mile run Emma was so wind and wear out that she has to sit down on the steps of the school to catch her breath. Jay meets her outside the lunchroom and put his arm around her.
Emma: Jay can you take me home?
Jay: sure

They walk toward the front door of the school when Mrs. Hatzilakos stops them. Emma and Jay turn around, and Emma leans on Jay.
Mrs. Hatzilakos: Where are the two of you going, you suppose to be in the lunchroom right now?
Jay: I'm taken Emma home she not feel too good.
Just then Emma legs give out on her and Jay pick her up.
Mrs. Hatzilakos: Jay you can take her home, but come back after you get her home.
Jay: Ok.
Jay carries her out to his car and put her into the passage seat and take her home, she had gone to sleep on the way to they place so he parks the car in the driveway, then goes over to her side and undoes the seatbelt and pick her up and carry her inside and into they bedroom and lays her in they bed and cover her up then walks out of the bedroom and close the door. He leaves her a note on the kitchen table then heads back to school. Emma wakes up two hours later when there is a knock on the apartment door. Emma gets out of bed and slow walk to the door and open it up to see her mom stands there.
Emma: What do you want Mom?
Mrs. Nelson: ( walk into the apartment and sit on the couch) Snake call me and tell me you sleep through Media Immersion and then you did not show up for his home room class after lunch. I want to check on you, because that not like you to miss class on the first day of school.
Emma: (lean against the wall across from the couch) I have a bed headache so I had Jay bring me home. But I do not see why you would care see that you the one that kick me out of you house for sleep with Jay.
Mrs. Nelson: It was more then that and you know it Emma Maire Nelson.
Emma: What other reason mom remind me?
Mrs. Nelson: do you want me to list them?
Emma: yes
Mrs. Nelson: 1. stop listens to me and Snake, 2. you sleep with Sean, Jay and Peter at the some time. 3. you got pregnant by Sean and had a miscarriage And did not even tell me, you were pregnant till you need to go to the ER because you start blood. 4. you stay out to all hours of the night. 5. was come home drink all the time. 6. Then Jack calls my cellphone, so I speed home to find you and Jay sleep together when you were suppose to be watch Jack.
Emma: so I made some mistake, everyone makes them.
Mrs. Nelson: and I know that Emma, that one of the reason I come here today is to ask you to come back home.
Emma: I did not want to go back home I'm perfectly happy here.
Mrs. Nelson: you do not look happy to me Emma.
Emma: I'm happy, I just really tire and have a headache and the room is spinning on me right now mom.

Mrs.: Nelson: You come home without eat lunch, you probably just need to eat something, let me go make you a sandwich, after you eat I let you go back to bed Em.
Emma: That would be great mom.
Mrs. Nelsons walks into the kitchen and Make her daughter a veg sandwich, and bring it over to Emma who by this time has sit down on the couch. Mrs. Nelson hands the sandwich and a glass of water to Emma.
Emma: Mom could you make me a second sandwich?
Mrs. Nelson: sure baby.
After Emma had finish both sandwich, she walks the glass and dirty plate over to the kitchen sink.
Emma: thanks mom
Mrs. Nelson: you welcome, and if you do not want to move back home you do not have to, but Jack misses you. How about you and Jay come over for dinner one a week, so we all can see each and Jack can see you.
Emma: Ok, but can when start this next week, so I can talk to Merri tonight and see which night I can get off work.
Mrs. Nelson: Yeah that fine Emma
Emma: I stop by on Saturday morning and visit with Jack before I have to go into work at 11:30AM.
Mrs. Nelson: He love that Em, I’m going go so you can get some sleep before you go into work.
Emma sees her mom out, then goes back into her and Jay bedroom and set the alarm clock for 3:40PM then lays back down, and was thinking at lest the room was not spin as bad as it was an hour ago.
Emma wakes up when the alarms goes off and gets out of bed, grab her work uniform and get change for work. She then heads into the bathroom and pulls her hair up into ponytail and put her visor on then head into the live room and grab her purse and her car keys and head to work. Emma gets to work and find out that she works with Paige.
Emma: Where Alex at she was suppose to be work with me tonight Paige?
Paige: She call in sick, she felt funky all day. By the time school get out she was light head, ache all over, could not stop shivering.
Merri: She Also run a fever, that the main reason she call in sick.
Emma: Ok I was Just want to know why she did not come in.
Merri: Emma and Paige I have to go pick my five-year-old daughter Belle up from daycare she run a fever so the two of you are close up tonight.
Emma and Paige: Ok.
Merri takes off and Paige and Emma get rush by a large group of movie goes, that does not slow down all night. As the shift goes on and the late it get Emma start to feel light head and the room start spin again.. Paige looks over and sees Emma lean against the counter and notice her skin is ash color.
Paige: Emma are you feel alright, because you skin is an ash color?
Emma: I’m not sure I just start to feel light head and the room just start spin on me.
Paige: Take you break and have a snack and a bottle of water and see if that helps.
Emma: yeah I think I do that.
A half hour later when Emma gets back from her break Paige look at her and she that she does not look any better.
Paige: Emma, why don’t you go home!
Emma: Are you sure it really busy?
Paige: I’m sure Emma, go home and get some rest.
Emma: Thank Paige I really do feel oogy.

Emma gets back to her and Jay place and pulls her car into the driveway of the park lot and pull her car into her spot and sees that Alex car is in the spot in between her and Jay. Emma talking to her self.
Emma: Chad must be in one of his mood again.
Emma turns her car off then grab her purse and gets out of the car, but has to grab onto the door of the car to keep from fall down. After a minute Emma close her car door and head up the staircase to her and Jay apartment. She open up the door and walk into the apartment. Jay walks up to her and wrap his right arm around her wrist.
Jay: Em, you come home from work early, are you still not feeling good?
Emma: No I keep getting light head and then the room start spin on me.
Jay: You should have call me and I would come and pick you up baby.
Emma: I made it home safe.
Jay: Ok baby
Emma: I’m going to go change out of my work uniform.
Emma goes into her room and change then walk back out to the living room and sit down on the couch next to Alex.
Emma: Hi Lexi, you do not look good.
Alex: neither do you.

Jay: Emma, what have you eaten today?
Emma: I eat an apple for breakfast. My mom stop by to check on me about two hours after you drop me off and she made me two veg sandwiches. And before I come home Paige had taken a break to see if eat something would help so I made my self a nacho.
Jay: So the why you feel is not from misses any meals.
Emma: No.
Alex: I really tire I’m going to go lay down in you guest room.
Jay: ok Alex.
Alex gets up and walks to they guest bedroom.
Emma: Jay I’m going to head to bed to.
Jay: Ok, I join you it been a long day with school and then go into work for a few hours, but I was worry about you so I ask the boss for the rest of my shift off.
Emma: you know I was going into work even if I still had the headache.
Jay: I know, But I went to be here in case you come home, or you call me because you need to come home sick.
Emma: that sweet Jay.
Emma stands up but her leg start to give out, so Jay put his arm around her and help into they bedroom and help into bed. Then get into bed next to her.
Jay: good night Em.
Emma: good night Jay, I love you.
Jay: I love you to.

The next day Emma wakes up to the smell of Pancake been made. She rolls over and notices that Jay has already get up. Emma gets out of bed and goes into the kitchen.
Jay: Emma takes a sit I have you three pancakes ready for you.
Emma: (sit down at the table) Thanks Jay, Has Alex had any?
Jay: yeah she eats half of a pancake, then she went back to bed. She staying home from school sick today (Jay joins Emma at the Table).
Emma: she does not feel any better?
Jay: ( Emma eats her pancakes) no her throats really sore, and it all swells and red.
Emma: I think she come down with Merri cold.
Jay: so do I, how are you feel this morning Emma?
Emma: A little better, but I’m going stay home from school today.
Jay: Ok, you want me to stay home with you.
Emma: No, you only able to miss school if you are really sick and have a doctor note, remember that was part of the deal you made with Mrs. H. When she let you, back into school.
Jay: ok, I’m leave for school then. If you or Alex needs anything just call my cellphone.
Emma: Ok Jay.
After Jay leave Emma goes into the bathroom and closes the door. She then looks at herself in the mirror.
Emma: (talk to herself) God I look fat, I can’t believe I eat all three pancakes.
She turns on the sink and shower, then knee down in front of the toilet and put her finger in the mouth and make herself throw up. She then brushes her tooth to get the vomited taste out of her mouth. And look into the mirror again, but think that she still to fat, so she gets into the medicine cabinet and take out the bottle of laxative and take four of them. Then goes into her room and lays down. Two hours later Emma gets up and runs into the bathroom.

On Saturday morning at the Nelson/Simpson House, Emma knocks on the front door. Jack come run up to the door hold on to Spike hand and right up to Emma as soon as Spike open the door up. Emma pick Jack up and head inside the house with him.
Snake: Emma Nice to see you outside of school. Actually nice to see you, see that you have not been in class since the first day of school.
Emma: I come down with a late summer cold and was having a hard time shake it. I want to come to school yesterday but Jay made me stay home one more day to make sure I was fully over it.
Spike: Jay was right about stay home yesterday Em when I see you the day school Start you look really bed, You still a little pale.
Emma: yeah I’m fine now. Jack let go up to you room and play.
Emma and Jack play up in his room till it was 11:30, Emm looks at her watch then at her bother.
Emma: it time for you to have some lunch and take a nape and I have to go to work now.
Jack: (cry) No Sis, no stay
Emma: I can’t Jack I have to go to work I miss too many days this week already.
Emma Pick him up and carry him downstairs and hand him to they mom.
Snake: are you going to work?
Emma: Yeah, I can’t miss another day of work this month. I’m out of sick day till next month.
Spike: Em, try to take easy this weekend, when you not at work. See that you just get over being sick.
Emma: ok mom
Emma leaves her mom and stepfather house and heads to work. Emma gets to work and find out her on her own for the day, no one will be into the night shift start. Emma talks to herself. Great I have to work alone till 5pm, maybe it will be a slow day. But as soon as she flip on the open sing and rush of people come into the theater and does not slow down all day. By the time 5pm come around she is totally wear out. Alex walks up to Emma.
Alex: you can go now Emma I’m here, has it been busy today.
Emma: all day thank to that new movie come out today.
Alex: what shift are you work tomorrow Emma?
Emma: close
Alex: the some as me cool.
Emma grabs her purse and walk out to her car and driver home. When she gets home she, see Manny sit at the Kitchen table along with Jay, Craig and Snake and Spike.
Emma: where Jack at?
Spike: Joey watch him for us.
Jay: ( hand Emma the wight lose pill bottle) Emma why do you have these for?
Emma: to help lose a little wight.
Manny: Emma, you do not need to lose any you are thin enough on your own.
Emma: I do not take them all the time just once and awhile.
Manny: You almost pass out doing gym class the first day of school.




Emma: I was sick Manny
Snake: stop lie Emma, You still skip meal.
Emma: sometime, but not all the time.
Jay: Alex tells me you throw up after you eat you pancake on Wednesday morning
Emma: My stomach was bother me when I get up, but the pancake smell so good I just had to eat them, but I was not able to keep them down is all.
Spike: Em, you hands were like Ice this morning.
Emma: ( Crying) I was cold is all. I tell you I was just getting over been sick.
Jay: Emma calm down
Emma: I can’t they say I’m not eat, and make myself sick; which I’m not Jay. I Just been really sick and I’m really tire right now.
Craig: we are just worry about you is all.
Emma: Just leave Manny, Craig, Mom and Dad go.
Jay: I think it best if you all go home now, I think Emma needs to take a shower then get some sleep.
After everyone leaves Emma start walking towards the bathroom, but pass out on the way. Jay runs over to her and carry her into they room and lays on the bed.
Jay: Emma wake please baby.
Emma: (open her eyes) Jay what happen and how did I get in here?
Jay: you pass out and I bring you in here.
Emma: it cold in here
Jay: that because you are run a fever. Does anything hurt?
Emma: it my throat and I’m ache all over.
Jay: If you still sick on Monday, I’m taken You to the doctor.
Emma: I just want to sleep

Sunday Emma wakes up to the phone ring she rolls over and sees that Jay not there. She looks at the time before picks the phone up.
Emma: (clear her Throat) Emma Nelson here
Merri: Emma , Where are you?
Emma: What?
Merri: you were supposed to close up today along with Alex.
Emma: Alex can handle close up on her own.
Merri: she did not show up either.
Emma: coughs, what time is it Merri?
Merri: It 5:30pm and you were suppose to be here by 5pm
Emma: I be there in twenty, sorry Jay must have turn the alarm off and not of reset when he left for work
Merri: Ok, Emma, I forgive you this once see that you never run late before.
Emma gets out of bed and throws on her work uniform and does her hair and then brush her tooth, she makes her self some toast to eat in her way to work. Emma gets to the movie theater at the mall and find that Merri she still the only one there.

Emma: what drinks do they want Merri?
Merri: they are being fill right now, I’m going and call Alex now.
Emma: Merri Alex is walking this way now.
Merri: Alex, Where have you been?
Alex: sorry I had a really long night.
Merri: yeah, it looks like you been up all night and do not get any sleep this morning either!
Alex: I have
Merri: you know you had to work today, so why did you not get some sleep last night.
Alex: I do not mean to I spent the night in the emergency room.
Merri: why did you spend the night in emergency room?
Alex: my mom boyfriend rushes me there because I was having a hard time breath.
Merri: what cause it?
Alex: My tonsils swell up.
Merri: Emma, that person stills wait for his pops!
Emma: sorry space out.
Merri: ( take a good look at Emma) Emma are you feel ok, you look flush?
Emma: (turn her hand and Coughs) No
Merri: Alex, Emma go home I’ll call Paige and Kevin in to work tonight.

As Alex and Emma walk towards the door of the mall, the room start spin on Emma again. Alex sees that Emma has stop walking and leans against the wall and is she shaking really bad. Alex walks up to her and help Emma over to a bench.

Alex: Emma do you think you are able to driver yourself home?
Emma: No, can you call Jay for me, Coughs.
Alex: you really haven’t been feeling good, have you?
Emma: No, I really haven’t and it really hurt to breath.

Alex takes her cellphone out of her bag and dial Jay number. Jay pick up after two rings.

Jay: hi Lexi what do you want?
Alex: Emma needs you to come pick her up from work, Merri sent her home, but she does not think she can driver herself home.
Jay: I been there In five.
Alex: I let her know.

By the time Jay has got to the mall and over to where Alex and Emma are sit at Emma is having a hard time breather. Jay Carry her out to his car and rush her to the ER. The doctor sent her home after looks at her for a minute say she was just fake and they was nothing wrong with her. By nine p.m. Jay is really worry about Emma because she runing a high grade fever and he can’t get it to go down, and every time she takes a deep breath she makes a really loud wheeze sound. Jay takes her back to the ER but the doctor will not even see her, they say she still fake and she just drug seeking. Jay call Emma mom and stepfather house. After five rings Mr. Simpson picks the phone up.

Mr. Simpson: Jay you do know it 9:30 and we have a three who is sleep.
Jay: yeah I do, but it Emma, she really sick and the ER doctor will not even see her that says she just fake.
Mr. Simpson: does she have a fever?
Jay: She burning up and having a really hard time breath.
Mr. Simpson: me and Spike will be they in five minutes Jay.

Spike and Snake came run into the ER wait area and over to the Emma and Jay. Spike kneels down next to Emma and feel her forehead. She then looks at Jay and Snake and Back to Emma.

Spike: Jay go get that nurse that say she fake.
Jay: Ok Miss. Nelson.

Jay run over to the admit desk and get the nurse attention. The nurse looks up at Jay and then go back to work on they paper.

Jay: I need you to come with me.
Nurse: I tell you before you girlfriend fake
Jay: then tell that to her mom.
Nurse: find.

Jay leads the nurse over to Emma, Spike and Snake. Both Snake and Spike look up and the nurse and give her a mean look.

Spike: Does it look like she fake, she burn up? Did you even check her temperature?
Nurse: no, she just another drug use want a fix!
Spike: No, she not, she a sixteen-year girl that is burning up with fever and is really sick, I want a doctor to see my daughter now!
Nurse: fine.

The nurse takes the hold on the back of the wheel chair Emma sits in and pushes her into the ER and help her into a bed. The nurse then put the ear thermometer in her ear to take her temperature. When it beeps thirty second later, she take it out of Emma ear and look at it.

Nurse: ( so write down on chart) you have a fever of 104.9, does anything hurt Miss Nelson?
Emma clear her throat) My throat really hurt and it also hurt when I take a deep breath.
