Never had a problem with it. Some people just have to complain i guess The problems with automatix breaking your system was a long time ago. Some people have a problem letting things go.

I love automatix for installing a lot of fonts, that would otherwise be a really big job. And some of the apps that's not in the repos. Then you don't have to hunt down a lot of dependecies before you compile from source. Something that a lot of newbies shouldn't do anyway.

I also use GetDeb - Ubuntu Software Portal - More applications, easy to install Nice to have even newer software and games Gnu/Linux is all about choice. Why complain when someone want's to do it different ways
