Default Re: Sex Education?

No sex ed in my state. A very, very few health classes sort of cover a few basic puberty changes about 9th or 10th grade. The sex ed class I got was while I was home schooled. I would have been 3rd or 4th grade then. I got those lessons because my mother could tell that I was already starting to go through puberty at age 8.

The high school I graduated got some AIDS education of sorts 2 years ago when my sister took on the project of having the school observe World AIDS Day. She was only allowed to pass out red ribbons and a few booklets on how you get HIV/AIDS and to prevent it with abstinence-only. (Which is required here when teaching prevention. Condoms are a big no-no here until university. We pass them out for WAD there.)
