Yes, but that doesn't mean that
all religious people are fundamentalist Evangelicals. I guess if he lives in Tennessee or Saudi Arabia it would make sense why he has such a biased view, but the vast majority of the religious people that
I have met were neither evangelists nor fundamentalists.
If his original argument was "Fundamentalist Christianity/Islam are problematic", I would agree with him. But he makes sweeping generalizations about all of the world's religions, which is an
entirely different story.
