There is something that i am trying to understand if Buddhism follows that type of philosophy then where does Karma come in? If we are just an observer than why would we be punished if the ¨thing¨ that we are observing is doing something bad? Or is it we are following this specific ¨thing¨ to learn our own morals? Yet in that religion (which is what i try to practice) you aren't supposed to remember your past lives, you just have to learn from the choices that you had made before and deal with the consequences. (karma)

(if i have misunderstood something about Buddhism, and there is someone that can enlighten me please do)
