The download speed is usually much faster as it is with U.S. cable companies. Upload speed with cable companies is another story. The 1MB upload isn't actually true. The upload speed between me and the isp is 1MB or more but will not leave their servers to where I'm uploading to any faster than between 65k to 85k which is actually the upload speed and should be advertised as such.
