What a sad day this is indeed as a danish soccerfan.
In danish soccer, one of the biggest things that can happen is that Denmark and Sweden square of. And is almost always a garuantee of a good and dramatic match.
Here is how it went down last time the two teams met (in english)
But yesterday it got a little too dramatic!
Denmark with the home court advantage woke up to a chokstart with the Swedes scoring three quick goals. Denmark then fought their way back into the match to 3-3.
But then a great match turned ugly. The danish defensive player Christian Poulsen totally unmotivated violently hitted Markus Rosenberg in the stomach. The lineman saw it and the referee called a penalty for Sweden. Then a danish supporter ran into the court and attacked the referee. Shocked by this turn of events, the referee called the match of and Sweden was awarded a 3-0 victory.
