I record nearly everything. You can plan your TV days in advance if you remember in time. Why would you want to watch live TV? Set everything you want to watch to record, then start watching them later. You have time to finish whatever it was you were doing. better yet, you can then fast forward through commercials. Plus, you can then rewatch stuff with friends later in the week. "What, you haven't seen this week's family guy yet? we have it right here." Then you can enjoy it all over again in less than 25 minutes, instead of 30.
