I'm in a similar position, though male. I have a tone of lean mass, just plenty of shit on top of it. This summer I'm going to look to getting back on a very strict diet and exercise plan and the idea is to lose 15lbs while putting on 5 or so pounds of lean mass. The goal is to feel and look healthy and right now neither applies.
Second year of college and these two years have done hell to me... I'm up about 25lbs total and I'm positive that I've lost lean mass. I'd like to lose 35 or so total, even then the shitty BMI calculators would put me at pretty overweight, but like you said Cygnet-- they don't take into account the amount of lean mass I have going for me.
