We are talking about a nation that is experiencing the cultural revolution constantly , this is no joke. If anyone doesn't believe that , they should go to the Dongbei provinces in China and talk to some of the refugees. Those who made it alive....
Now the question is what can we do about it? I can see several options :
1. The American option :an aggressive anti North Korean policy , hoping to economically and diplomatically isolate North Korea and make the situation so bad that hopefully some anti-Communists rebellion will break.
2. The Chinese option : develop North Korea economically through trade with the understanding that economically developed people are less inclined to go to war over ideological differences.
3. Everybody else's option – do nothing
I'm sure there are other options ( I should research South Korea's position more thoroughly). I guess that you go for the 3rd option. I personally feel that the Chinese option is the best.
