But anyway, there are lots of DEBs out there, and sites like
GetDeb - Ubuntu Software Portal - More applications, easy to install that carry them, but it isn't really a solution. The software provider will still have to make packages for OpenSUSE, UBuntu(and possibly Debian too), Mandriva, Fedora, Slackware, and possibly others. Not really a solution :/ Ah well,...
