Also, the conversation interests me, because I feel almost like I'm looking in the mirror at my own views from years ago ... when I was a fundamentalist Christian. Believe it or not, I actually understand what you are saying, I just have different views.
From your perspective, your view makes perfect sense, and I probably sound like I'm just speaking gibberish. Possibly you see my views as a reflection of your former views.
It's like two aliens meeting and trying to have a conversation, each speaking a different language.
I'm not sure we can really have a conversation, much less debate anything, without speaking past one another.
