What I have described is for online gaming. A strong story line is very important for a single player game. Some of the best for this are the Call of Duty series.

As for the coordination problem, one thing you can do with online FPS games is to just use the mouse. This is less strange that it sounds.

A few years ago the clan I was in were playing Medal of Honour:Breakthrough. We were very competitive, and successful with it. All of the clan were in the top 100 players in the world. MrsMidlife (my cousin) was one of the better players. At one point she was ranked eleventh in the world. To most peoples amazement she never used any of the buttons on the keyboard while playing. Left button for forward, right for fire, scroll wheel for weapon seleccion. She never crouched, used lean or jump! but still Mrs was one of the best players in the world!!!

Me, the best I could do was 16th. always beaten by my little cousin using just the bloody mouse...
