| Re: free software, but free compagnie ? How is it a self-contradiction? One of the points GPL-ed software is that if the makers are somehow "evil", the project can be forked. (For instance, if Mozilla's google-toolbar money went somewhere silly, where does it go, anyway?)
Open management at itself sounds like it could be a cool idea though. How about a "open market" system where people with small supermarkets, and list their sources of products, and what they have too little/excess online.(relative to nearby small stores it can be handy) That way people can see where a product came from, if the prices are reasonable for the parties involved. Maybe users can give some input too.
Lots of problems here though, like is it fast enough?(perishables) The system must be uncheatable too. Of course, data of where products from normal supermarkets came from is also useful.
Perhaps the idea is only viable from the consumer side, knowing where your food came from.
