I've tried everything on the list except Slackware and PCLinuxOS.

I've also tried Arch, Mepis, BLAG, Freespire, Yoper, PC-BSD, FreeBSD and OpenBSD (I know, BSD |= Linux), as well as a few small distros that I can't recall the names of.
