I was raised as a christian but I am an atheist. However, I think God is a human invention because when you believe in something the world can be a lot less scary. But I don't understand how someone can really believe that the world was built in 7 days, that you can go to hell or that a guy walked on water because it is just a representation. It's an interpretation and I think it can coexist with the scientific explanation, as long as you remember it's just a representation.
