In fact the Kanji characters are causing me most trouble because of different readings (on, multiple kun, nanori, gikon etc) which are really hard to remember in some cases.
Pronunciation and grammar is fine once you get used to. At least on a level you can talk to people without causing a WTF?!-gaze.
