I strongly agree with you. My mother tongue is Korean.Speaking and listen in English was very hard to me when I start to learn English.
When I start to learn chinese, pronunciation is doesn't matter because it's similar to pronounce with Korean, What I need to study more is about tone, there are no tone in Korean language, But I can learn tone easily. The most hard thing in learn the language is how to memory
thousands of Chinese characters.
