No, Jesus was a very real person. He is publicly accounted for in at least two individual Roman Texts.

However, i have always personally believed that he was an Early-day David Blaine, and realised that he had a whole collection of people he could manipulate to his way of thinking.

Making those people believe he was the Son of God, getting his dad(Joseph) and Brothers(John, Simon Peter)/cousins to back him wasn't that hard. A few minor *cough* "Miracles" *cough*, and he had them eating out of his hand. I also think that there was some bad mistranslation in the new testament, and a lot of exaggeration of the "facts" in the written story.

Sorry, but Jesus was a Fraud, plain and simple. Yes, he started a Religion, but what use has Christianity *really* been to us, when you look at the bigger picture?

It is almost certainly primarily responsible for a lot of the wars that Humanity has had to suffer through-out the ages.

I am not an overtly religious person, but I do Believe in the Human Soul, that it continues after death, and can go on to re-incarnate. The Spirit world to me is almost like another phase...it's like I can almost reach out and touch it.

I do not believe in Heaven or Hell.
