Have you considered (or are doing) some weights as part of that regimen too? Resting metabolic rate is a large part of your daily energy use, resistance exercise spares or increases lean-mass, the most important factor in resting metabolic rate.

Resistance exercise also has many other benefits for weight loss. The most effective way to lose fat is to combine a sensible diet (small restriction of intake), endurance exercise and resistance exercise.
