Hrm. What do you mean? You do know there are domestic leagues and competitions in each country that exist independent of UEFA competitions. Why WOULDN'T someone who likes a team in the EPL also like a team in La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, etc. IF they enjoy that league? The domestic competitions have nothing to do with continental play. Also the leagues all have very different styles. Dutch soccer is nothing like Italian soccer which is nothing like English soccer. And while I agree the Champions League is the biggest stage in club football bar none, I personally find the domestic leagues more gut-wrenching and exciting (at least when there is a battle). Winning a league over a 34-38 game season is more exciting to me than a Group + Knockout competition, but that is just me.

Also Chelsea have yet to win the Champions League or even accomplish a legitimate 'double.' They won the League Cup in 2005, but whoop dee do. :P The big double is Prem Title + FA. So while they may be the best on paper, they have NEVER ever proven it on the pitch and might never do so.
