Re: Favorite Operating System? When I first switched to Linux, I was extremely strong against Microsoft. I would even bash Microsoft in reports at school. It has now been a few years and I've come to accept that things probably won't change. I'm still against Microsoft, but one just has to come to accept them because it's what the users want.
I'll also mention that when I first switched to Linux, I found myself turning against Apple as strongly as I was against Microsoft. About a year ago, my uncle offered to sell me his old G4 for $250. I bought it, in hopes of trying out Ubuntu on it to see if it would run different. Well, that G4 still hasn't had Ubuntu installed on it but instead has become one of my main systems here. I'm currently looking into purchasing a Mac Pro as the software I use (even though I use it on Windows right now) runs exceptionally well on the Mac Pro. I still use Linux, but it's mainly for development, storage, heavy processing, and posting on a website called SocialDiscussion.com. |
