I should note that service varies by neighborhood. There are some with curbside trash pickup daily (like where my office is in another part of town) and some areas where local trash is dealt with by bringing it to a local field and having one person responsible to burn it daily/weekly/as needed. Also, it seems most people here produce far less trash than most places I have lived. Most food is NOT prepackaged, but made fresh. That alone eliminates a very large amount of trash, and the need to recycle it.

(I just didn't want anyone to get a wholly negative view of Moroccan trash cleanup practices. )
