I've had the opportunity to attend three Long Beach Grand Prix's, and two at Watkins Glen. It was like a dream come true for me, who was hooked on "Sports Car Graphic" way back in the '60s.

But, F-1 has a long road ahead of them, to gain any more than a "expat" following in the states, due to the popularity of NASCAR racing, and a lack of understanding of the differences in technology.

A couple of good runs here, without the distractions of tire problems, etc., would go a long way in gaining a substantial fan base.
