I have been strongly considering getting a Mac (Pro). I've worked a bit with them and I must say, I'm pretty impressed with OS X.

However, I've worked with Linux/Windows for much longer (Windows longer than Linux sadly). So that makes me not so apt to just run out and purchase a Mac -- espeicially with how much they are.

That being said, my experiences is this. Most Microsoft products, although more main stream and develped on, do not work as well as they should. Whereas with Linux and Mac products, I have found them to be much more reliable and more appealing to work with.

That's just my personal experiences though -- YMMV
