| Albino -> It's true that we went in to find chemical weapons and to stop the war on terrorism, but it's gotten to the point where if we do risk pulling out - even if we didn't listen to the Iraqi president - eventually we might have to head on back over there for the simple fact that there are probably always going to be Saddam supporters who are waiting for us to leave so that they can reinstitute "revolution" or whatever you'd like to call it, once again.
I agree with elmolover - but is that the only reason we went over there?
To me, it seems as though the US turns a blind eye on almost all crisis that are occuring around the world, unless it affects our economic status or people or what-have-you in some way. Then it's guns blazing, egos flaring, compromise or nothing attitude.
And in truth this really isn't a war. It's a conflict that's raging on for much too long and might end up like the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.
