We will be living in solid steel metal boxes. Everything will be done via internet on a PC with virtual-reality glasses (work, study,socialising,shopping). The only thing outside will be delivery vans and lorries bringing our goods or crews carrying out repairs to the infrastructure (water,electric,antennas). When we do leave our homesteads we will have to wear protective suits because some terrorist group or government had polluted the atmosphere with a new deadly chemical.

Or maybe all religions and governments (who would cause things like the above) would have been wiped out and humanity will finally be at peace.

I wonder how they would have answered this question 100 years ago?
