Default Re: Drugs: The Legalization Thread

I'm all for it.

The amount of money we dump into drug enforcement, and the number of minor drug offenders filling up our prisons and jails just eating away at our economy.

We could be making money from it via taxation (like alcohol and tobacco).

Addiction? People are going to do it anyway... Now they do it unsafely while funding gangs and diverting profits outside of our country.

Alcohol is no less addictive then say, marijuana, and probably more damaging (notoriously destructive on your liver). Plus drunks are often more violent and aggressive while most illegal drugs are downers that prevent people from becoming aggressive.

But soft drugs like marijuana are gateway drugs??? Sure... If you have to buy them from someone who might offer you harder drugs.

At least the milder drugs should be legal... Marijuana users should not be wasting our prison and jail space, and enforcement should not be wasting our law officials time.
