i don't think they're the same at all.
SON seems to focus more on spencer and ashley and spencer's confusion with her sexuality
whereas degrassi is a lot more broad about the issues discussed

i like degrassi cuz it's canadian
i like SON cuz ashley and spencer are hot haha
